Sarasota Herald Tribune
STAFF REPORT

SARASOTA -- Joe Muņoz hit a three-run double in the 10th inning to lift the Pirates to a come-from-behind 6-3 win over the Orioles on Monday at Twin Lakes Park.

Kevin Gryboski got the win in relief and Edward Cordero pitched a scoreless 10th for a save.

The Pirates forced the extra frame on an RBI single by Victor Alvarez in the ninth. Caleb Fields, Tom Hagan and Carlos Silva each had two hits for the Pirates.

Nick Ray, Tyler Kolodny and Elvin Polanco had two hits each for the Orioles, who fell 1 1/2 games behind the idle Twins. Kolodny drove in two runs, Polanco one.

At Ed Smith Stadium, Victor Serrano's two-out double broke a 2-all tie in the ninth inning as the Red Sox beat the Reds 3-2.

The hit capped a 4-for-5 day for Serrano. Ricardo Burgos went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Chi-Hisang Huang and Peter Gilardo each went 2-for- 4. The Reds had six hits, one a triple by Anthony Brown.
