Polanco pushes O's past Sox

SARASOTA -- Elvin Polanco had three hits, including the winning RBI single in the 10th inning, as the Orioles beat the Red Sox 4-3 Thursday at Twin Lakes Park.
Cole McCurry got the win in relief, allowing three hits in four innings. One of those hits was Darren Blocker's game-tying RBI double in the eighth.
At the Lee County Complex in Fort Myers, Joe Munoz went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and one RBI to lead the Pirates to a 5-4 victory over the Twins.
Right-hander Kyle McPherson (3-2) tossed five innings of two-hit shutout baseball to earn the win. Edward Cordero picked up his third save.
