Three Pirates toss 2-hitter

BRADENTON -- Right-hander Jose De Los Santos and two relievers combined to hold the Reds to two hits in the Pirates' 8-0 victory at Pirate City on Monday.
De Los Santos allowed one hit, a two-out single by Jose Gualdron in the fifth inning, during his six innings of work. He issued no walks and fanned six.
Malvin Vasquez and Edward Cordero finished the game, with Vasquez allowing the other hit during his two innings.
The Pirates bolted to a 5-0 lead thanks mainly to a four-run fourth inning.
Caleb Fields and Quincy Latimore had RBI singles in the rally. Juan Garcia added a sacrifice fly.
Fields also had a solo home run in the eighth inning.
Thomas Hagan was 3-for-3 with a double for the Pirates. Victor Alvarez had two RBI.
In Fort Myers, a scheduled game between the Orioles and Twins was rained out.
It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Aug. 2, in Fort Myers.
