Unusual eighth propels Twins

STAFF REPORT

SARASOTA -- The Twins used an odd eighth inning Wednesday to score all its runs and rally for a 4-3 win over the Orioles at Twin Lakes Park.

Two runs scored on a passed ball and another as part of a double steal.

Tyler Kolodny went 3-for-4, including a home run, and scored all the Orioles' runs.

At Pirate City in Bradenton, Carlos Amaro pitched 5 1/3 strong innings in the Pirates' 6-5 win over the Reds.

Amaro allowed six hits and one earned run. Josue Peley hit a home run and Caleb Fields went 3-for-4.
