Noel, O's shut down Reds 4-1

SARASOTA -- Luis Noel threw 6 2/3 strong innings to lead the Orioles to a 4-1 win over the Reds on Thursday at Twin Lakes Park.
Noel allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out five. Jorge Almanzar threw 2 1/3 hitless innings for the save.
The only runs the Orioles needed came on Rodolfo Cardona's two-run double in the third inning.
Elvin Polanco homered in the sixth. Cardona, Lee Ellis and Levi Carolus each had two of the Orioles' 11 hits.
In Fort Myers, the Twins benefited from timely Red Sox errors for six unearned runs in a 7-1 win. Dan Berlind allowed two hits and no runs in five innings. He combined with two relievers on a four-hitter.
Nick Biagini had a two-run double and Ben Revere went 2-for-5 with an RBI triple.
