Twins pick up 5-3 win over Reds

SARASOTA -- The Twins beat the Reds 5-3 at the City of Sarasota Complex on Sunday.
Twins right-hander Jose Acosta allowed two hits, no runs and struck out two over three innings to get the win.
Third baseman Juan Richardson was 3-for-4 with two singles, a double and an RBI. Right fielder Angel Morales was 2-for-4 with a single and a triple.
Left fielder Anthony Brown hit a three-run homer to lead the Reds attack. Catcher Devin Mesraco was 2-for-4 with a pair of singles. And first baseman Raffy Sanchez was 2-for-4 with two singles.
The Pirates blanked the Red Sox 7-0 at Pirate City in Bradenton.
Winning pitcher Eddie Nunez struck out four, allowed two hits and three walks over five innings.
The Pirates did most of their damage in the fourth, getting five runs. Quincy Latimore's two-run homer was the big hit.
